Build Up Slipper 1.5cm
B4
After
While we would normally run a new sole all the way thru, this customer really just wanted a bit on the back.
1 Cut out soling and mark lines
2 Grind sole and soling
With the slipper sitting up the right way, lift the heel up 1.5cm and take a look how far forward you will need to come.
Measure height of slipper sole B4 you grind any off!
3 Layer 1 on and ground.
As the bottom of the slipper was quite rounded at the edges, I had to grind the edges off in places to keep the sole wide enough for plenty of stability. So at this point decided to use 2 layers of 10mm eva instead of the 1 15mm layer I started with.
4 Layer 2 on a ground
5 Layer 3 on and trimmed
6 Edges coloured to blend in
