  3. Sits correctly, even heights and thickness

  5. Smooth and similar appropriate shape
  6. Painted, polished and pretty presentation

Check left shoe then right shoe

1. Heels even heights, burrs, no holes in glue line, breast trimmed and sole not gouged

2. Half soles even heights, burrs, glue line, waist (tidy, stuck, trimmed properly)

3. Insoles Glued right the way around – esp. at front, nicely cut out

4. Heel liners cut on enough of an angle, glued at front edge, nice stitching, comfy looking

5. Resoles even heights, burrs, glue line, not piles of glue showing above rand

6. Stitching trimmed, smooth on inside, strong, all bits done

7. Gluing tidy, strong

8. Polish yes every pair, yes there are exceptions (new purple suede etc)
