Zentangle Value

Zentangle

This zentangle is a value strip from light to dark. I had eleven boxes that I needed to fill in with designs: each one gradually darker than the previous. I began with a very light 4H pencil to create very light patterns. As I went on I got darker pencils until my final box where I used a 4B.

My first box is straight lines that cross each other in a rounded pattern. My second box is many overlapping circles. I had a template so that all my circles were the same size. The third one I began with a circle and circles within it gradually getting smaller. I then drew many straight lines across the box. I drew a triangle coming off the circle to make it look kind of like an ice cream cone on a striped background. The next one was many angles. It wasn't really inspired by anything. The next one also was not inspired by anything in particular. The sixth one was many arches on top of each other. The third one I began with drawing an oval in the center. I drew a circle inside to make it look like an eye. I then drew larger and larger ovals around it. Inside the circle I drew many diamonds. The next one I began by drawing curvy diamond. I drew some arches in it to look like scales. The next one is many diamonds with vertical and horizontal lines in them. The next one is overlapping circles, the overlaps I shaded in and I drew crossing lines around them. The final one I began with an X. I split the X in half. I then I put circles on both sides. I made the X have triangles in each side and filled those with other designs.
