Running the Beach

This is my shoescape drawing. The first part of this project was to draw a pair of shoes in an interesting pose. I then had to draw the shoes in pure contour. I then had to draw a background, which I did as a beach. I didn't want to color the whole thing, but I wanted some color on it. I outlined somethings to emphasize certain parts.

Each aspect of the drawing is supposed to have personal meaning. The shoes that I drew are my running shoes. I chose to draw these shoes because I am a cross country runner. I enjoy running and that is why they are important to me. I made the background a beach. I based it off of a beach in Florida. I chose to do this because when I went to Florida the beach was my favorite part. I think Florida beaches are quite beautiful.
