Composition J

My art piece is inspired by artist, Piet Mondrian. He has a non-representational style of art. All this means is that his art is not showing something in the real world. I alike made a non-representational piece. Piet Mondrian invented a style of art call neoplacticism. Neoplacticism starts out with a black grid made with thick lines. In some of the boxes he would draw lines to cut them in half or make other sized rectangles. these rectangles are then filled with the primary colors: blue, yellow, and red. he would color some in with black and leave some white.

I was inspired to make a art piece made entirely of triangles. I used a sharpie to make the thick black lines outlining each triangle. Instead of using the primary colors i chose to use only secondary colors: orange, purple and green. Like Piet Mondrian, i colored some in black and left some white.
