Woodworking 1

Open to all students, this class will introduce you to the basic drawing, design, and manufacturing techniques used in the workplace today. Through building the designs you draw, you will gain an understanding of design perspectives and assembly procedures. You will learn the safe and correct use of hand and power tools along with good design techniques. In this course you will be assessed on projects completed as well as on your personal work ethic. All building is completed with wood; you keep the projects you make. By the end of this course you will be able to use routers, table saws, chop saws, band saws, and more.
