Modern World History

This class is designed to introduce you to the economic development of Western Europe during the 19th and 20th centuries. Primary topics will include the rise of industry, military expansion, and subsequent imperialistic efforts that changed the world. We will also examine economic growth, social development, and the rise of superpowers. You will explore events that led to both World Wars and the Cold War, as well as the social revolutions of India, China, and Russia.
