Introduction to Literature
In this course you will read from a variety of formats and in different genres, reflecting upon themes presented in these works. Through discussions and written assignments, you will improve your vocabulary and critical thinking skills and gain greater insight into the function of literary fiction and nonfiction. What can I expect in this class?
In Introduction to Literature, you can expect to have more fun than the title of the class indicates! You will read five books over the semester, each one from a different genre. You will read and progress through the online course content at your own pace, stopping along the way to discuss with your classmates and learn more about the art of finding and reading excellent books.
What does a typical day in this class look like?
On a typical day in Introduction to Literature, you will attend class in the Media Center, read, and work on assignments (no CERs here)!
What about homework?
There is none, unless you fall woefully behind.
What about tests?
What? No tests.

Teacher Librarian approval.
What else do I need to know about this class?
You need to be willing to read books in genres that might be new to you. Also, this course is totally online (Canvas), although you are required to be present in the Media Center on class days.
