Cultural History of the Cold War

This course will explore the cultural history of the Cold War era through selected reading, writing, and discussion-based learning. Movies will be used to analyze cultural bias and propaganda used to influence society and world views. Summative assessments will be project-based with options correlating to multiple intelligences.

Diploma Credit Area: Government (GV)

Beginning with the class of 2026, all Oregon students will be required to complete 0.5 credit of civics education to graduate. This course fulfills that requirement.
