Narrative and Composition Studies
This course focuses on 21st century literacy: applying writing and critical thinking skills to the types of texts we're surrounded by all the time. This is a senior-level course designed to explore the nature of story and how it is constructed, as well as its role in our lives. Its goal is enhancing your critical thinking and writing skills. You will examine fiction and nonfiction in a variety of media—primarily film, but also advertising, art, music, and literature—and learn to demonstrate your understanding through multiple formats. Narrative and Composition Studies is a course intended for students interested in developing varied critical analysis skills in the literary forms of the 21st century.
