Introduction to Animal Science
Introduction to Animal Science
Discover how domesticated livestock animals influence and impact our daily lives. Learn the biology of the animal, including anatomy, nutrition, health and disease, and reproduction and genetics. Develop skills related to the care and welfare of animals while exploring food safety and agriculture commodity marketing practices. Each student will conduct a Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) project, in which they will be able to personally analyze one area of agriculture in which they are interested. Upon satisfactory completion of both semesters, this course may be used to meet up to 1.0 of the science credits required for graduation.

- Dual Credit Course: Students who pass this course and Pre-Veterinarian Medicine may be eligible to receive Oregon college credit. Work with the teacher to coordinate college credit and pay any associated fees.
