Introduction to Agricultural Marketing & Communication
The Introduction to Agricultural Marketing & Communications course introduces you to the world of agriculture by teaching the skills necessary to produce and manufacture food products for the consumer market. This course will focus on commodity development, agricultural sales and food science. You will also develop your communication skills through public speaking, parliamentary procedure, and sales presentations. You will gain leadership development through the FFA, and conduct a Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) project, in which you will be able to personally analyze one area of agriculture you are interested in to gain industry experience. This course is a prerequisite for other courses including plant science, animal science, and natural resources. This is a semester course that will count as a 0.5 credit towards or elective CTE requirements for graduation. Please note: Although this course provides science credit toward graduation, it does not meet science requirements for NCAA eligibility.

- Dual Credit Course: Students who pass this course and Natural Resources 1 and/or Plant Science may be eligible to receive Oregon college credit. Work with the teacher to coordinate college credit and pay any associated fees.
