AP Computer Science Principles

Using Python as a primary tool and incorporating multiple platforms and languages for computation, this course aims to develop computational thinking, generate excitement about career paths that utilize computing, and introduce professional tools that foster creativity and collaboration. You will develop programming expertise and explore the workings of the Internet while working on projects and problems like app development, visualization of data, cyber security, and simulation. The course curriculum is a College Board-approved implementation of AP Computer Science principles. While this can be your first course in computer science, we encourage you to start with Exploring Computer Science if you do not have computing experience. This course follows Project Lead the Way and Code.org curriculum.
