This lesson reviews the major concepts of geology, including the composition and structure of the earth and the processes of the rock cycle and plate tectonics. Students will examine how the earth's surface has changed over its history, and what evidence we have of those changes.
1. Composition & Distribution - What materials are found in the earth and how is the matter arranged around the earth?

Summarize the processes of the Rock Cycle and explain how they shape the earth.
The Theory of Plate Tectonics - What is the evidence? How does it work? What is its impact on earth?
3. History - How has the earth changed over its 4.6 billion years?
