Unit Plan Block :
This unit examines the diversity of life on earth as it is broken into distinct life regions, called "biomes." Biomes are characterized by distinct climate, vegetation, soil, and animal life. The interactions of biotic and abiotic factors give each biome unique qualities. This unit will also examine the impact of humans on each biome in an effort to stress the importance of understanding nature for the sake of preserving and conserving habitats.
