Image Size & Resolution: 300 dpi, 6000 pixels wide (6K).
Standard requirements of a lifestyle brief are x1 main image, 1 alt image & x4 cameos. However, if an ottoman divan base/sofa bed is required in the set then we will produce x2 main images (x1 with the ottoman closed & x1 with the ottoman open)
Client will specify which Dreams products and furniture they would like to feature in the lifestyle image. Note: The products will normally have been modelled as part of the project.
Lifestyle briefs include a 'Look & Feel' and 'Styling & Props' page which give the VM styling team direction to meet client expectation.
Dreams often request rehashes of sets we've previously created for them which require less time for us to create. On Average when we have the larger projects we tend to get the client to commission around 8 new roomsets and then we re-hash these up to 4/5 times.
Based on the lifestyle brief from the client (Usually a product photo, price point and demographic) a member of the VM styling team will put together a style board which is sent to client for their review.
The stylist will design the proposed space in SketchUp (a premier 3D design software) and include images of the space on the style board which allows them to visualise the architecture and propping of the space for client.
Once the style board is approved by client the producer will arrange a briefing call with the stylist and the assigned 3D artist. The Art Director should be included on this briefing call to ensure the artist has clear guidance on the appropriate cameras and lighting for Dreams.
For a new set the artist will build the space in 3ds Max from the beginning but with a rehash the artist will begin with an existing space.
