Draft A is the first time the CGI image is seen after the Styleboard is signed off. It should be an accurate representation of the sketchup with all décor, lighting, props and product placed in the scene.
Everyone should check it thoroughly and comment critically to make sure the image is a good response to the original brief and looks like client-approved styleboard.
Does the image represent the L&F page overall?
If you added this image to that page would it fit in or stand out?
Does the image need warming up / cooling down?
Does it look inviting?
Are the colours accurate?
Is the floor laid the correct way? Does it represent the price point? LVT / Engineered Wood / Tiles?
If it's wood - is the grain a good representation? If it's tile - do we have grout? Are they laid correctly?
Does the tone of the floor work with the rest of the room?
Does the product fit in well now we have it modelled and it's been colour corrected?
Is the palette working all together?
If it is a rehash, there shouldn't be too much to comment on for architecture. It is always worth a check, in case something was missed last time, so still treat it like a new set.
Is the overall space correct? (Scale of room / openings in the right place)
Are the windows the right style? (Do we have crittall when we should have sash?)
Are the doors in keeping with the property style?
Look at bulkheads/columns/beams and check they all look correct.
Are the skirting boards / cornice / picture rails accurate to the Styleboard spec?
Backplate - is it right for the room/property? Do we have trees when there should be towerblocks?
In this case we rehashed this room, keeping most elements the same but we have included a window seat in so that would need checking to make sure it's looking like the references.
Composition Check:
Is everything where it should be according to the sketchup?
Is the product hero?
Props Check:
It's always a good idea to look at the big ticket items first (furniture, lighting etc) and then look at the smaller props.
How are the materials and textures looking? Does it look real? (Example : Does the bedside table have a sheen in real life? )
Are the colours correct?
Does something need changing or swapping out because it's not looking good?
Do we need to turn the lights on or off?
Is everything sitting properly? i.e. not flying items?
Does the bedding look accurate to the styleboard? Are the textures/materials/patterns holding up?
Are the propping stories making sense? Do you need to add or remove some items?
