So, we have configured our studio and made a huge success with our photo shoot. We have flawlessly shot 94 photos of a bag of flour! Now it's time to prepare these photos for Agisoft Photoscan.
Having so many images to deal with, we need to use a batch image processing software. Two examples that can do the trick for us are Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Bridge.
The process is quite straightforward:
01. Import the photos
02. Choose an appropriate white balance
03. Do a lens profile correction and remove chromatic aberrations
04. Adjust contrast - high contrast images help in model creation stage while low contrast images do better in texture creation stage
05. Synchronise changes across the whole batch
06. Export two sets of images in separate folders - one with high contrast, one with low contrast. Highest quality possible - i.e. 16bit TIFFs.
Below you can see a short video of this process in Adobe Lightroom. You can find some basic tutorials if you're unfamiliar with the software here: https://goo.gl/AzFUTN
