Zoom: Camera stays in one place the focal length of the lens changes. Wide <-> Long

Pan: Camera stays in one place and swivels around

Like looking both ways before crossing a street the camera doesn’t move sideways 

Tilt: Same as panning but up and down

Dolly: Physically moving the camera closer to the subject in a linear fashion. 

In real life usually done on rails.

Boom/pedestal: Physically moving the camera vertically in a linear fashion. 

Truck: Similar to dolly, physically moving the camera sideways in a linear fashion.
