Check all imagery for errors and fix if possible or feedback to the Retouch department if the error can't be fixed in a reasonable timeframe. If retouch department is unavailable, contact the project manager who wrote the task (top left of Notes box).
Masking errors are one of the most common issues for the retouch department to be aware of and to scan for in all imagery. Make sure that all supplied masks for colour correction fit flush with the product and that there aren't any mask errors throughout the rest of the image.
This will usually happen if archival photography assets have been composited in the set. All shadows need to look natural and in line with lighting in set.
Check for things like nudged cloning or any other retouch errors that may need reworking.
Check for errors or anything that appear urealistic in materials.
Remove any fringing from props and products.
Depth of field blur should gradually increase both towards and away from the focal point. Look out for any sudden shifts in depth of field or anything that seems unnatural like an image becoming suddenly sharper in the distance. (this can be especially common with window-scenes.)
Check for any furniture in a scene not making contact with the ground and any props not making contact with surfaces.
Some items of furniture will have hidden sliders underneath, creating a small shadow gap, this is acceptable. The image to the left shows a shadow that is too far away and needed fixing.
Make sure that interactions between props in the set appear realistic.
Mirror reflections should include a reflection of the room and scene in the window.
Make sure that objects that touch aren't sinking into adjacent surfaces/ objects. This can happen anywhere in a scene but commonly occurs with bedding and plants.
