From the ODH House Committee report 12 May 1913 – Since the last meeting Nurse Porter had commenced duty as a probationer nurse.

From the ODH Inpatient Register 1 January 1906-28 April, 1925. Admitted as a patient (aged 28) with typhoid fever on 23 May 1914. 16 July 1914 discharged to her brother, William Porter at ??? ???.
From the ODH House Committee report 19 June 1916 –Nurse Porter who had passed her final examinations had been asked to continue at the hospital as sister on completion of her training.

From the minutes of the ODH board meeting 18 July 1916 - The seal of the hospital was affixed to the nursing certificate of Nurse Porter …and Nurse Porter having been called into the room was presented with her certificate by the with a few well-chosen words.

ODH House Committee report June 17 1918 - … Nurse Porter who had completed her training in this institution on July 6 1916 is in charge and it is necessary to fix her salary.

From the ODH House Committee report September 16 1918 - Sister Porter who was acting matron for some time past terminated her duties on the 15th as she desired to go to Melbourne.

Matron Porter, matron of the Tallangatta Cottage Hospital, is at present away on a month's furlough, her reliever being Sister Jarvis, who for some time was sister here, and is a local lady. Albury Banner and Wodonga Express, 9 March 1923.
The matron of the Tallangatta Hospital, Miss S. Porter, who has been here for 3½ years, is leaving to take over the management of a large private hospital at Wangaratta. Miss Porter will be leaving about the end of the month. Her many friends greatly regret her leaving, and wish her every success in her new undertaking. Tallangatta - Wednesday September 26
Matron Porter, who resigned her position at the Tallangatta Hospital, will leave Tallangatta for Wangaratta on Monday next, where she will conduct a private hospital on her own account. At a social evening in the Memorial Hall on Saturday evening, the president of the hospital, Mr. A. S. Thomson, on 'behalf of her lady friends in Tallangatta and district, presented Miss Porter with two dozen stainless knives. In doing so he referred to the matron's 3½ years' service at the local hospital, during which time she had earned the esteem of her patients, the committee and the general public, all of whom greatly regretted the Matron's departure and wished her success in her new venture. Mr. D. Rogers on behalf of the Matron, briefly thanked the ladies for their splendid gift. Albury Banner and Wodonga Express, 5 October 1923.
Matron Porter, who for the last 3½ years has held the position of matron of the Tallangatta Hospital, has left here for Wangaratta, where she recently purchased a private hospital. On Saturday night last, prior to her departure, a number of her young friends: visited the hospital to bid her farewell, and during the evening Mr. James Kelly, of Jarvis Creek, on behalf of those present, presented Miss Porter with a handsome set of carvers. In making the presentation Mr. Kelly referred to splendid work in the hospital during her connection with it and assured her that through her tact, ability and patience, she had won the friendship of all her patients, and they together with other friends, now wished her every success in her new venture, and they would always be very pleased to see her back amongst them at any time. Mr. Denby Roberts then responded on behalf of the matron, and supper was then served. Miss Dennis, of Melbourne, has been appointed matron in Miss Porter's place. 1932, 1936, 1940 & 1945 - ‘Brooklyn’, Barmedman, New South Wales. Barmedman is a small rural town located 460 km west of Sydney and approximately halfway between Temora and West Wyalong.
Unfortunately, it's been impossible to ascertain details relating to Susan's parents or her death.
