Born 30 April 1933. Father: Kingsley Norman Waite. Mother: Eveline Ruby Rhodes.

After three and a half years on the staff of the Kiewa Butter Factory, Miss Dawn Waite has resigned and later this month will commence nursing at Beechworth Hospital. In making her a presentation of a leather writing case, the manager, Mr. W.F. Stoner on behalf of the staff, said he was sure Miss Waite would make a success of her studies. These remarks were endorsed by Mr C. Lobb (foreman). Border Morning Mail, 24 May 1952.
Christening
Sally, infant daughter of Mr and Mrs Stan Evans, was christened by Rev Stockdale at St Mark’s Church of England. Godparents were Mr Jim Bartley, Mrs J. Larkins and Miss Dawn Waite. Border Morning Mail, 16 October 1952.
Miss Pat Day, Tangambalanga, celebrated her 21st birthday with a party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. Vidgen, Fairfield, last Saturday. Her mother, Mrs Vic Day, motored down with Tony, Jim and Mary to attend. Miss Pat Day’s ballerina frock was of white lace with strapless red velvet bodice and stole to match. Mrs. Day wore a mauve moire taffeta frock with violets, and Mrs. Vidgen, pale green faille with spray to tone. Guests who motored down for the party were Mr Michael Zwar and Miss Dawn Waite (Beechworth) and Mr. John Mamouney and Miss Janette King, (Albury). Border Morning Mail, 16 May 1953.

Married Mervyn George Lincoln, 24 January, 1959 at Tangambalanga. He was born at Leongatha 22 November 1933. Began his professional life as a school teacher before concentrating on his career as a middle distance runner - see Olympians.
After retiring from athletics in 1960, Merv developed a career as a management accountant before joining Melbourne University’s Economics and Finance faculty in 1963 as a senior lecturer. He later completed his PhD, entitled The Usefulness of Accounting Ratios to Describe Levels of Financial Risk and was awarded his doctorate in 1983.
In 1977, the Lincoln Causeway on the Victorian New South Wales border was named after him.
Dawn & Merv, had three children, Debbie, Tony & Tim.

Mum passed away peacefully on Friday, August 28th with family by her side. Now reunited with her beloved Merv, strolling along the pathway together looking at her surrounds and smelling the roses saying 'isn't this lovely!'
You are now free Mum to eat all of the yummy sweets you desire.
We know that you will always be here to guide us through life and will be forever in our hearts.
Love you Mumbo. Give Dad a big hug from us all and we will take loving care of your dear little Pom Pom.
