Born 1921 at Brighton, Victoria. Daughter of James Houston Boyd, and his second wife, Alice Mary Cook. Youngest of two children.
Birth notice reads: BOYD – On the 15th May 1921 at “Lochiel” private hospital, Middle Brighton to Mr and Mrs J Boyd, railway station, Glenloth – a daughter Nancy Allison. The Argus, 28 May 1921
1924 – 1926 ER Nancy and her family are living at Longwood where James her father is the stationmaster.
1932 ER Nancy and her family are living at Bright where James her father is the stationmaster.
1936-1937 ER Nancy and her family are living at Merbein where James her father is the stationmaster.

… At the nurse’s board examination, two nurses from the Ovens District hospital, who completed their fourth year training at the Wangaratta Base hospital, passed their final examination. They were Nurses Boyd, of Leongatha. and Alma O'Neill of Stanley. Border Morning Mail, Albury, 23 December 1942.
Date of qualification, March 1943.
1944 Nurse’s registration has Nancy living at 6 Long Street, Leongatha.
Married Bill Alfred Collins, at Leongatha 19 April 1944. See Ovens and Murray Advertiser, 6 May 1944
Nursing registration removed June 1945.
Bill was an orchardist at Stanley. Nancy and Bill appeared to have lived at Stanley all their married life. They had three boys, Robert, Boyd and Neil.
Nancy predeceased her husband and died at Wangaratta Hospital, 5 February 1992. She was buried at Stanley Cemetery.
