Born 22 October, 1906 Hobart, Tasmania. Parents Alfred George Boucher & Hester Taylor. Father a drover & slaughterman. Served in WW1, field ambulance driver. Enlisted September 1914 discharged February 1919. The family appeared to frequently move around Tasmania a lot and finally ended up in Nhill, Victoria about 1922.
Winifred was one of four children.
Miss Winifred Boucher, of Nhill, has been appointed to the nursing staff of the Ovens District Hospital, Beechworth - The Adelaide Advertiser, 17 December 1929
From the ODH House Committee report 17 December 1929 – Nurse Channon of Beechworth and nurses Carr, Griffin, Boucher and Hoare of this hospital had done excellent work in collecting.

The 1934 April Register of Nurses & the 1936 ER has Winifred’s address as 17 Holbrook Street, Launceston, Tasmania.

BOUCHER:-On November 20, 1930, at the Royal Hobart Hospital, Winifred Constance, beloved second eldest daughter of Alfred and Hester Boucher, of Launceston, in the 34th year of her age. RIP.
