Tim Reed

The son of a trainer, William Timothy Reed was born in Northumberland on December 19, 1961.


His first winner was King Bee at Ayr on March 12, 1979: his last was Kerry Lads at Carlisle in January 2002.


He then retired, having ridden more than 230 winners in a 23-year career in which he also broke his neck.


He later trained point-to-pointers.


Tim Reed won the 1988 Charlie Hall Chase on High Edge Grey.
