He only victory was achieved at the other end of the country at Newton Abbot on October 23, 1982, when Lilac Lady took the lead at the last flight and narrowly held off the challenge of Maen Dipps to win the Darracombe Novices’ Hurdle (Division 1) by a neck. The six-year-old was not placed in any of her seven starts following her success, Genaro being in the saddle for three of them.
