Jack Reardon

John Michael Reardon was born in London on March 19, 1891.

He was apprenticed to George Lambton.

A son of Michael Reardon, Jack won the 1916 Grand National on Vermouth.

He also rode in Holland and Belgium.

After WW1 he began training at Epsom and did so for the next forty years. In doing so, he produced a number of successful jockeys.

His brother Dennis died in a fall at Sandown in March 1931.

John died at Epsom on March 28, 1974, aged 83.
