Design Guide
Once you have a Rukaan geno, you can design it!
Here you will find the information you need on how the features and markings of the Rukaan breed work in order to design one.
Aside from elements, Rukaan designs are based on real and natural markings, mutations, and antler types. Designers are encouraged to look to real hoofstock species, both wild and domestic, for design inspiration.

Guide to Designs
Each design has:
A Base Color- This is the color of the Rukaan beneath their markings.
Genetic Markings and Modifiers - These markings and modifiers are inherited and the Rukaan must have the gene to show them.
Free Markings - These markings are free to use on any design and are not inherited.
A Body/Coat Type - This is the body type of the Rukaan, generally defined by a distinctive coat.
An Antler Type - This is the shape of the Rukaan's antlers.
An Antler/Hoof Element - This is the element or elements that make up the Rukaan's antlers and hooves.
Mutations - These are rare, and pop up randomly. These are things which affect the entire design, like albinism.
Flesh / Skin / Eye Color - This is determined by the markings and modifiers the Rukaan has.
Additional Layers - Guidelines for adoption center tags, backgrounds and banners.
Finishing Touches - Guidelines for colored lines and other personalized touches.
Rukaan come in four base colors: White, Black, Liver and Red. They are inherited, and are specified in the Rukaan's geno. See the Base Colors Page for color swatches, nuances and more information.

There is no rule about layer order other than that white markings go above all other markings. All markings should be visible in the design unless the minimum extent is completely covered by other markings.
These markings are optional and free to use on any design. They are not inherited. Click the links for more information on each.

Most Rukaan can have any eye color, though some genes will cause a specific eye color. Find more information here.
Find information here on what layers you need to use for background, banners and ear tags.
Personalize your import with subtle touches like a glow, colored lines or color shift. See here for more information.
