Before you stands a massive building that looms ominously, but as your eyes trace the details of the oak wood cladding, the imposing building softens to a more cozy feel. A sign hangs down above the door, declaring this building “The Grand Treasury”.
The Grand Treasury is the place to go if you want to access or use items and kroner you already own. This includes storing, transferring to other users, selling, equipping or applying. If you're looking to buy items or open openable items like chests, see the Merilian Market.
Kroner is the in-game currency for Fields of Valhalla. They are not to be confused with Rune Marks, which are the art points/leveling system of the game. Kroner can not be purchased directly from the group, but can be earned in-game primarily by selling items from your vault. The kroner value of sellable items can be found in the item encyclopedia and on the item art for that item.
Kroner can be used to buy items at the Merilian Market, from the Traveling Trader (when he is open), and from the annual group kroner sale. It is not a major part of gameplay, but can be useful if you have acquired more activity drop items than you have a use for. Many activity drop items can be used in crafting or rune magic, so you may want to check the item's item art for a list of recipes they are used in before selling them for kroner.
A shifty looking woman steps from the shadows and glances around furtively before approaching you. "What have you got there? Is it for sale?" She jingles the contents of her pocket to prove that she's got kroner to spend.
Note: Account Bound items are a little different:
Account bound items with a kroner value that are not tied to a specific Rukaan (for example, "Freyr's Armament (AB)") can be sold for kroner.
Account bound companions (for example, "Black Cat (AB, removed Dec 31 2020)") can be sold for kroner once their post-removal one-month cooldown has passed.
Account bound items tied to a specific Rukaan (for example, "Recreation Stone (AB R-0001)" ) cannot be sold for kroner. They can be sold to the treasury for 0 kroner if you just want to get them out of your vault.
Account bound items without a listed kroner value (for example "Odin's Eye Token (AB)") cannot be sold for kroner. They can be sold to the treasury for 0 kroner if you just want to get them out of your vault.

A brisk walk down the hall reveals another hole in the wall. This one appears unmanned, and you hover outside for a few seconds before noticing a beautiful silver bell. You give it a quick tap and the resonating chime fills your ears, very quickly followed by a set of small, shuffling footsteps. The sound of clattering wood prompts you to peer over the top of the desk as you stand on the tips of your toes.
“Hello!” a rather feminine voice greets you as a pair of bright green eyes finally appear in the window. The young woman doesn’t look any older than sixteen, and she shuffles forward on her elbows to greet you. “You wanna transfer something to someone else's vault? I’ve got your paperwork right here!”
Some items are always account bound and can only be used by the player who earned them: These will be marked (AB) in the vault.
Trickster Spirit's Favor
Treasure Chests (all types)
Skadi's Serpent/Hel's Shadow/Idunn's Apple/Thor's Lightening
Other items that are marked (AB) are also account bound and cannot be transferred.
Some items can be transferred to another player if they are not account bound but cannot be sold for currency (such as dA points or USD):
Import Tokens
Horn of the Ancestors / Starter slots (if they were not purchased for USD from the group)

“Ah, yes.” A rather unremarkable man looks up from his clipboard, tousled brown hair falling past his eyes. A length of rope is tied around his belt, and at his feet a baby goat bleats noisily. You both stand outside the Treasury in the rear gardens, featuring a small collection of stables and fields covered in a layer of snow. The fields border the forest, rather than the town, and in the distance you catch a glimpse of shining antlers. “You have an animal companion you wish to register? We can bond it immediately to your chosen Rukaan, or we can simply board it at the gardens until you’re ready to decide. They’ll be more than taken care of here.”
Apply or Remove a companion to a Rukaan >> here <<.
If you apply a companion to an import, it will become account bound and can not be traded and the color will be locked. There is a limit of three companions per import.
A companion removed from an import will receive the account bound tag in your bank account upon being removed. This means that it cannot be traded, and can only be applied to Rukaan owned by you. Once a companion has been removed, it cannot be applied to any Rukaan for one month from the date of removal and the color can no longer be changed. It can be sold to the Treasury for kroner once the one month cooldown has passed.

A bookish looking young man in clerical robes peers at your Rukaan. "Ah, this one has been favored by the spirits I see. Let's take a look at what special ability they've been granted, shall we?"
Apply or remove a Rukaan's trait >> here <<
There is a limit of five traits per Rukaan, or 7 at Himthiki level or higher.
You can also use this thread to remove traits. Traits will be destroyed when removed but you can use this to free up a trait slot. Traits cannot be removed if they are still in use (example: Snake Charmer from a Rukaan with more than 3 companions).

A serious looking dwarf behind a desk clicks numbers into some sort of counting device and looks at you. "You want to make sure your Rukaan's stats are properly accounted for before their next competition, eh? Is that for the benefit of the handicapper or your bookmaker?" He chuckles to himself. "No matter, let's get them squared away, shall we?"
Apply or remove stat points >> here <<
Apply stat points or stat items to your Rukaan here! There is a limit of 10 stat points per category.
You can also use this thread to remove stats if you would prefer to start your Rukaan as a clean slate. Stats will be destroyed when removed.

An overworked and exhausted looking stablehand spots you and runs over. "Oh! it looks like you need help putting this on. Let me give you a hand."
Apply tack or armor to a Rukaan >> here <<.
Tack and armor cannot be removed unless they are being replaced by a superior piece of the same type. Custom Armor is considered to be superior to all other types.
You can optionally add tack and armor to your Rukaan's import as a cosmetic item as well as applying the item bonuses. Have the tack/armor applied here first, and then use the Design Approval > Cosmetic Item thread to do the cosmetic update.

A trader at the auctionhouse takes a look at your import tokens. "Well, yes, I think this is a reasonable offer. What sort of Rukaan were you looking to exchange these for?"
Exchange import tokens for a Rukaan geno >> here <<.
Genos claimed with Import Tokens will come with a lineage when the geno is posted. You may specify ONE starter that you do NOT wish to appear in the lineage OR you may specify ONE other Rukan you do not want your Rukaan to be related to in the "Lineage Request" section. You cannot specify a starter/other Rukaan that shares any Rare or Mythic features with your Rukaan. For example, if your import token geno has mythic Gemstone element, you cannot request that Gemstone starter Eikthyrnir S-001 not appear in the lineage.
For more information on how to use Import Tokens and what they can be exchanged for, see Import Token.

The treasury staff look at you in awe as you show them the artefact, and they quickly usher out an old man with an impressively long beard. "Ahhhh," he sighs, "this is a new magic, and quite a potent one. Let's use it carefully, shall we?"
