Marking Type: Normal Marking
Rarity: Rare
Wilde is a natural marking that creates dark vertical stripes on the body of a Rukaan. It is based on stripes found on the necks of wildebeest species. While the range should be the same on both sides, the placement of the stripes does not have to be symmetrical.
Wilde creates vertical stripes that may only appear on the neck, shoulder, barrel and rump of the animal. It will never touch the head or legs.
At minimum Wilde should be displayed as 3 medium sized stripes that can occur anywhere within the maximum range.
Stripes can occur anywhere within the maximum range and can cover this whole range.
Typical Expressions of Wilde

Wilde should always be a darker version of what it sits over or black.

Wilde with champagne and black accents
Champagne can make the stripes golden, and black accents can mimic stripes on the face outside the normal range of wildeWilde with Dun
Dun and Wilde can interact in a number of ways, changing the range of expression of each.Color Modifiers
Color modifiers can, but do not have to, change the color of this marking. It will still be darker than what it sits over unless affected by Tint.
Blue can give them a blue color
Wine can give them a lilac purple color
Champagne can give them a brown or golden color
Olive can give them a mossy green color
Grey will affect all lightening and darkening markings and desaturate/lighten them to the same extent that it desaturates/lightens the base coat. Grey can but does not have to fade or soften the edges of hard edged lightening and darkening markings. Darkening markings can be lightened by grey but will remain darker than what they sit over.
Tint can change the color of this marking to a color from any color palette in the species
White Markings go over this marking. All other markings can go over or under.
Hard Edged Stripe Markings can interact.
Dun can cause knee striping outside the normal range of wilde.
Wilde can make dun cobwebbing and shoulder barring more distinct and slightly change their ranges.
Wilde can orient more horizontally than normal on a Rukaan who also has Okapi.
Wilde can allow black accents to become somewhat stripe-like and mimic stripes in areas where wilde does not normally cause stripes.
The marking follows the patterns of dark stripes on wildebeests.
