Antler Types
Rukaans have very versatile antlers which may mimic the antlers of other hoofstock species. They use these antlers primarily to display their fitness to potential mates and in fights against rival Rukaans, though they may also use them in defense against predators if the need arises. Due to differing tine placement, sparring between Rukaans with differing antler types will lead to injury more often than fights between Rukaans of the same antler type.
Elk antlers, which are sported by the Rukaan's ancestors and closest relatives, are the most common. Larger antlers are the most biologically expensive for a Rukaan to grow and maintain, and those sporting large Caribou antlers are often assumed to have great strength and fitness. On average, stags have larger racks than does but antlers of any size can be found on either sex.

These antler shapes are inherited and the Rukaan must have them in their geno to show them.

Antler Type Inheritance
When breeding, the rarer antler types are less likely to pass than common antler types, so it is always wisest to breed rarer antler types together if you are aiming for them to pass.
