Chapter 9: Balance Restored

With the Winter Doe’s help and your support, Jotunheim begins to look like its former self and the catastrophic waters begin to recede.

Her work complete, the Winter doe slips away, returning to her seasonal migration and restoring the seasons to order. You start tracing your steps to return home, and learn a bit about Jotunheim as you go. You even meet a trio of Rukaan who were stranded in Jotunheim when Yggdrasil became impassable. Ingmar, Haldor and Eula were blessed by the Jotunn with features that haven't yet been seen in Midgard and are eager to return home.

Balance has returned to Yggdrasil’s realm as the Stags are able to take up their duties and the Does are able to move freely again. The gateways have reopened and Yggdrasil’s branches along with Bifrosts’ light lead to the other earthly and heavenly realms.

As the gods are freed to travel between realms and the role of Rukaan in restoring this to them, more Rukaan are being blessed. Some are being blessed with never before seen coats, markings and antlers as a badge of honor to pass to their descendent like the blessed Rukaan of old.

In turn, more Rukaan are able to find their way along Yggdrasil's branches and Bifrost's light to realms beyond Midgard.

Jotunheim is now a Lore Location and the first Tier Five exploration area!

Show your Rukaan investigating one of three new realms and speaking with their inhabitants [Frost Giants/Jotunn of Jotunheim, Elves of Alfheim, or Dwarves of Nidavellir]. Don’t go to Asgard just yet, the Aesir will talk to you on their own terms!

Entry Requirements:

• 800 Word Story or Fullbody Colored with Complex Background

• At least one Jotunn, Elf or Dwarf must be pictured at least 50% or significantly involved in the story

• Must be set in Jotunheim, Alfheim, or Nidvellir

• Tame Rukaan' handlers may be included but are not required

• Entries must be made entirely by the Rukaan's owner

You must also show a roll result comment showing proof of the following for the entering Rukaan:

• Complete one Jotunheim exploration submitted after the Rukaan’s Chapter 8 Lore Storyline entry has been processed and approved by the group.
  
  
  

Who Can Enter:

• Each Rukaan may only enter each chapter once

• One Rukaan may enter per piece, though others may be included for rune marks

• There is no deadline, the event will remain permanently open to enter

• In order to enter Lore Storyline Events, the Rukaan must have entered all previous chapters. Rukaan must have completed Chapter 8 to participate in Chapter 9.

Rune Mark Bonuses for Entries:

• All entries for this chapter get the Event rune mark bonus (link this journal) (only for the Rukaan entering the event, not for any additional Rukaan included)

• Entries for this Lore Storyline Event are eligible for the Lore rune mark bonus if they feature a named Jotunn, Elf or Dwarf from Norse Mythology.

• Entries for this Lore Storyline Event are eligible for the Starter rune mark bonus if they feature Ingmar, Haldor or Eula.

• Entries for this Lore Storyline Event are eligible for the Lore Location rune mark bonus if the are set in Bifrost, Jotunheim, or Yggdrasil.

• Rune mark bonuses must be listed in the bonus section of the rune mark form to be counted.

For completing this chapter you will receive:

• Rainbow in a Bottle

• Hymir's Kettle

• Horn of the Ancestors

• Unlock Frost Giant battle boss for the participating Rukaan. This boss opponent is not unlocked by Universal Battle Boss Unlock.

• The ability to proceed to Chapter 10
