Chapter 10: Efforts Rewarded

The gods of Asgard are pleased to see their beloved Rukaan once again able to travel to their realm. They send either the messenger Hermod or Odin’s ravens Huginn and Munnin to bring you to the Fields of Valhalla so that they can bestow a gift or boon upon you in recognition of the part you’ve played in the epic journey. Their feasts are the stuff of legend, and the event they throw in your honor is beyond what you’d ever imagined. Merely being in attendance could be enough to ensure your name is enshrined in the tomes of history.

Their celebration is hardly an overreaction. Between the magic of the gods, the technology of the dwarves, the restored balance of Yggdrasil’s realm and the knowledge accumulated by the Rukaan themselves, great things are no longer impossible. Those venturing along Bifrost’s reaches may discover that they lead to new and strange places with even stranger inhabitants and artifacts.

In Asgard you find Rukaan who were trapped there when the way between realms was blocked. Anundr, Liv and Sylvi are excited to see other Rukaan for the first time in ages, and to make their way back to Midgard themselves.

It may take time, but you’ve helped set in motion the dawn of a new era for all of your kind. It is the way of Rukaan to always explore what is beyond the next horizon, and surely before long they’ll find their way to more and more worlds.

Introducing Asgard Lore Location and Tier 5 exploration area!

Show your Rukaan at Asgard with at least one of the Aesir being rewarded for their efforts. Your Rukaan must be with a norse deity and/or their grand hall and table laden with food in art, or significantly involved in the story for literature.

Entry Requirements:

• 800 Word Story or Fullbody Colored with Complex Background

• At least one Aesir OR the grand feast table must be pictured at least 50% or significantly involved in the story

• Must be set in Asgard

• Tame Rukaan's handlers may be included but are not required

• Entries must be made entirely by the Rukaan's owner

Who Can Enter:

• Each Rukaan may only enter each chapter once

• One Rukaan may enter per piece, though others may be included for rune marks

• There is no deadline, the event will remain permanently open to enter

• In order to enter Lore Storyline Events, the Rukaan must have entered all previous chapters. Rukaan must have completed Chapter 9 to participate in Chapter 10.

Rune Mark Bonuses for Entries:

• All entries for this chapter get the Event rune mark bonus (link this journal) (only for the Rukaan entering the event, not for any additional Rukaan included)

• Entries for this Lore Storyline Event are eligible for the Lore rune mark bonus if they feature a named Aesir from Norse Mythology.

• Entries for this Lore Storyline Event are eligible for the Starter rune mark bonus if they feature Anundr, Sylvi or Liv.

• Entries for this Lore Storyline Event are eligible for the Lore Location rune mark bonus if the are set in Asgard and meet the lore location depiction requirements.

• Rune mark bonuses must be listed in the bonus section of the rune mark form to be counted.

Reward

For completing this chapter you will receive:

• Hero of Asgard Trophy for the Rukaan's import page

• Horn of the Ancestors

• Your Choice of one of the following: 

  • Odin’s Eye Token

  • Appeal to the Ancestors

  • Trickster’s Token

• Ability to unlock Valkyrie title through the ranking page once the participating Rukaan reaches Marauder rank

• Your choice of one of the following non-hereditary traits for the participating Rukaan:

  • Skadi’s Domain

  • Freyr’s Gift

  • Freyja’s Delight

  • Loki’s Meddling

  • Gerda’s Cultivation

• Unlock the ability to add a custom background to the participating Rukaan’s import.  Background guidelines:

  • Must contain the artist’s credit in the bottom left corner

  • Must be the same size as the group import backgrounds

  • The Rukaan must be in the default size and position from the import template

  • You must have permission to use the background and it cannot belong to Fields-of-Valhalla or any other group

  • Cannot contain members of or official locations from other ARPG groups  or copyrighted material or stock material

  • Must follow group content rules (no excessive gore, etc)

  • It can be but does not have to be unique to the Rukaan
