Our story begins with a mystery- Yggdrasil, the eternal world tree, has begun to fail. No one knows why it is happening, or how it can be stopped. Without Yggdrasil's magic, the world is suspended in eternal winter.
Leaves greying, bark decaying,
One by one the caretakers disappear,
The world begins to quake in fear,
What are we to do?
It's up to you.

Lore Storyline Events
Lore Storyline Events are events related to Fields-Of-Valhalla's ongoing story which can be completed at any time.
Rukaan can complete these prompts to move the lore plot forward and earn exclusive titles such as Valkyrie (see Rukaan Rankings for more information). These events will also count towards the "five limited time events" option for reaching Marauder rank. Chapters will always remain open, and a Rukaan must complete each chapter before moving forward to the next.

The Investigation
Rukaan who have already scoured the countryside looking for clues to Yggdrasil's decline may have stumbled upon some leads to pursue. Their best course of action is to begin asking questions of the experts. These may be Lore Races or Starters.
The Winter Doe
Rumors and whispers lead you to The Winter Doe, but she doesn't want to talk to mortals. Convince her to explain what's going on, and to accept your help.
Wall of Ice
The Winter Doe explains: her path out of Midgard is blocked by tangled branches, and her lingering stay has formed a wall of ice. Help her clear a path through the ice.
The Missing Stag
Once past the ice, you enter Yggdrasil's realm. Not very far though- the place is completely overgrown. Help the Winter Doe search for the stag who should be tending the way.
The Eternal Quarrel
You find the Stag, who tells you that the Eagle cast him down, egged on by Ratatoskr the squirrel. Help the Stag confront the Eagle.
