Wire Sculpture

In class, we made wire sculptures and worked on are skills surrounding the process of using wires to create objects. We first started by making a wire chains we had to make sure that they were strong and stayed up so we had to make strong fish hook connections. From there we then had to make cubes and that was so we could see if we were able to make a strong 3D shape that could stand. Then we finally started making are actual sculpture which mine was of a shoe. It took me a while and I had to work on it at home but in the end I liked the final product.

The materials that we had to use to make this project were wire, tape, HB pencils, and wire cutters/pliers. The pencils I used to come up with the outline and idea of how I wanted to mold the wire. Then with the tape I wrapped it around the shoe so the wire grease would not stain my shoe. After that I used the cutters and pliers to bend the wire to get the form I wanted.

My favorite thing about this project was just slowing seeing my work come together. Even though this took a lot of work and I had to change my design it still came out pretty well. If I could change anything I would change the width of it because it is a bit to thick.
