Still Life

In class and out of class, I worked on my still life which was based on a section of a bust which I selected through a view finder. From there I slowly sketched the outline then proceeded to go from there and fill in shadows and lines. I continued to shade and layer sides of my image as well as trying to cotain the proper proportions for the image so that it stayed realtivly even and not streched.

The materials I used were mainly just pencils since that is what allowed me to shade and sketch the outside lines of the image. I used lighter varations for the first sketch then added darker and darker pencils as I produced more of a form for my bust. I also used my finger to smudge and adjust the shading of the image.

I think that the image came out alright I feel I could maybe have done more to show the breaks in layers and sections. However, I do feel that certain angles and areas did come out better than other.
