Sustained Investigation Three

For this project, I worked on creating a story about the events that have happened between Putin and Navally. I tried to include parts of the story through text as well as show the emotion through color. From there I created background with colors that represented communism. From there Implanted my text element which was a mix of articles about the investigation into Putin and what actually happened between the two. I then redacted information like Russia did with why they arrested them and purposely took out information where Navally talks about corruption. Then I made sure to make sure that there were plenty of themes about Russia like the Kremlin and hammer and sickle.

The way I created this was using Illustrator and using real life images that I scaled and turned too color. From there I used a font that I made by turning into a vector images then splitting it. I then tried to match color and make sure everything was cut and wrapped correctly.

My favorite part the project is the text in the back and how information is redacted like in actual official documents. I think I could have added more going on in the fore ground like with the buildings near the hands.
