Class Collaboration

I created this work from an image that was given to me at random and I had to enlarge it. Then I used a B7 pencil to sketch around the outside of the white spots. One of my favorite things about this project is we don't know what we are drawing because we don't have the rest of the image and all we have is a snapshot of the real put together image. Also because it is just a snapshot of the real image I can not really comment on what the setting is. If I were to guess it is a starry night above a river. It is hard for me to comment on this from a personal stand point because it is a collaborative project making it hard for me to understand what the real image is and what my connection is.

The first technique I used to create this image is to draw all the little shapes then shade around them. The second technique I used was drawing real hard to make less white spots show up but that got hard when you drew near the shapes. My project developed from a little piece of white paper into a amplified drawing. One of the struggles making this project was the smudges that got created from my hand brushing over the dark layers of the graphite. My project does not relate much to my life because it is not that personal to me.
