In and out of class, I worked on my inclusion piece and my question was "How can I used collage to create nature through texture and form." I made a collage using card stock and a felt like material to create trees, water, and mountains. This was one of my better projects and I think it was refreshing to do something other than paint and pencil. I themed mine after a lush forest with mountains jutting out in the background.
I used glue and cardstock and felt to make my full design. I used a bunch of different colors and tried to add brighter colors to make contrast from the dark trees. I used green to make the trees and light and dark blue to make the water. But also used black and orange to make the wild fire on the right half of the page. I used texture by using different materials and layering my work over and over again with cardstock. I used pattern through using the same shapes over the whole piece.
My favorite part was the mountains I liked using this leather felt material to make them. I did have one main issue which was that glueing was difficult and I decided to use super glue and burned my skin because of it.
