Mid-Term Art Project

In Art for the last week we have been working on are artist and art movement related projects. I did enjoy this project mainly because I like contemporary pop art and I kind of like Jeff Koons work. Jeff Koons is known for making giant stainless steel ballon animals and other sculpture out of everyday items. I picked a lamp because it is a really common everyday item that is used almost everywhere. I then added the contemporary pop art piece by adding the red and yellow to make the image a little more color full then I added in more to the background to add abstract shapes.

The materials that I used to make this were mainly H and B pencils, paints, and some colored pencils . The reason, I used paints is because I thought it made the image pop out more and I used H and B pencils to guide where I was going to put the paint. I just used colored pencils to highlight a few places

My favorite thing about this project was the the lamp I used because I just like how it turned out. The thing that I think I could have done better is the highlighting and the dots because some dots could have used some more dots. I also liked that I could make it my own and add in things that make the image pop a little more.
