Blind Contour

In and out of class, I worked on my blind contour drawing which was based on the birds eye view of a city or town. For the blind contour part of the image I used two faces to make my starting outline then started adding on from there. I added buildings and extra lines and features such as faces and animals and started doing more pattern work also. This I feel created a whole image that has a lot going on with many different elements.

The materials I used were Sharpie Pens, colored pencils, and HB pencils. I used the Sharpie Pens for outlines and pattern work while I used the HB pencils to shade and make quick outlines. I then filled in the shapes and objects with colored pencils and tried to push value in certain areas.

What I like most about my work is how it kept growing and there are a lot of different forms and shapes that I added. The one thing that I wish I did better was the color matching and possibly planning out certain areas better. Which I think would have lead to the image looking even better.
