Sustained Investigation Thirteen

For this project, I decided to go in a different direction and not create shoes and instead focus on creating a different piece of clothing. The plan is that I would brand them with a new brand idea called Astrato and create a logo and then mix them with art pieces. I chose to go back to this because I think I needed to add at least one more investigation with the Astrato brand so that I have more consistency with my works. I thought it would be interesting creating clothing that was different from t-shirts or sneakers just to see how the linework and composition are additional.

For this project, I used Illustrator this time; I did not do it on the IPad and made them with the computer side of Illustrator to make sure I remembered the basics. For most of this year, I have been using the IPad version. I started with a simple outline of these clothing items. I used several reference images to compare to what I was making. From there, I slowly filled in and messed with color options and tried to play around with what could fit. Then I just touched upon the linework and then finished.

My favorite part of this work is the blazer. I think the for just came out well, and I like the look of it. If there was one thing I would change or fix, it would be some of the colors for the blazer. I think that gray is a tad too dark.
