What may have started out as a very structured and totally serious book on innovation, our most important task, quickly became a joyful and fun guide to becoming more creative, to building a more innovative culture.  We need this, and trust me, you will enjoy using this book!

Crazy as this seems, Firestien promises that by using his approach to creativity, it is possible to generate a hundred ideas in as little as ten minutes, and out of all those bursts, you will see usable gems.  But let's go back to the joy part - the author removes so much energy-killing frustration by warning us, "Invest the time to identify the true problem," he says.  "It does no good to generate ideas for solving the wrong problem."  In fact, when he facilitates a CPS (Creative Problem-Solving) session, often half of the time is spent identifying what the real problem is.

Mill Girl Verdict - fun book, great organizations - Clorox, Mead Paper, The Los Angeles Times, and Western New York -  credited with using this process.  Especially love the quotes, the chapter section icons, and the photo of Dad.  A fun and very useful tool.
