Welcome Back BBQ/Club Fair!

A thank you goes out to Mr. Pizzuto for spearheading this event and the many helping hands who made the Welcome Back BBQ/Club Fair a success. We could not have done this without the efforts of Pomptonian, Aramark, the HSA and Student Congress who made this delicious lunch possible.

Thank you to all our GAs and the Guidance office with Andrea Watson and Peer Leaders & Ambassadors. We ran 4 student orientations welcoming new incoming students, as well as any students new to the building.

We are delighted to see you all back in the school building and very excited for the upcoming year!

9/11 Remembrance

To commemorate the 20-year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Social Studies teachers Alison Sieck and Mike Troy handed out red, white, and blue ribbons to students during unit lunch. They also provided ribbons to faculty members. The ribbons were a symbol of unity and remembrance.

The Learning Commons curated a display of books and iconic photos. The collection is exhibited on two identical bookshelves which emulate and honor the twin towers.

In the Classroom

Mr. Wohner's robotics class finally got to do some hands-on activities building robots. The class got to use brand new robot kits that were purchased just before the pandemic. The students' first robot build is to make a racing robot. The robot will need to navigate a race course they will design. Just like many forms of racing, their success will come down to good teamwork and preparation.
