What should I do if water is off or not in my name at my vacant property?

To start, please refer to this guide to learn more about the process of working with the local Water and Sewage Utilities.

We can facilitate turning on these utilities at your property.

Facilitating water turn-ons and transfers may involve the Property Manager's time spent waiting at the water department and waiting at your property for a Utility agent to complete the turn-on.

Additionally, the utility may charge a deposit to transfer the utilities into your name and an additional charge to turn the water on. All of these costs would be added to the unit ledger.

Before RPM moves forward with a turn-on or transfer, we would first check if there's a back balance at the property. If there is a back balance, then we may not be allowed transfer utilities until that balance is paid. In order to move this block on the account, RPM would front the payment of the back balance and place the amount on the unit ledger.

To move forward, you will need to sign our Utility Turn-on Agreement. We will then follow up with you to collect any information described here we will still need.

RPM cannot start utility turn-on or transfer work until the owner completes the above steps.
