Can I leave items or other personal property on the premises?

No personal property can be left at the property.

RPM recommends completely clearing the premises of all personal property. If items are left behind, RPM will not be responsible for an inventory of the items and will not include any personal property as part of a security deposit disposition.

Residents have a much better living experience if they do not have to deal with personal property around the property.

Having personal property on the premises also:

  • Reduces our ability to rent the unit in a timely manner.

  • Increases the likelihood of a break in during vacancy.

  • Creates legal exposure for anyone using the items and claiming they caused an injury.

  • Makes it more difficult for us to compare the move in and move out condition to properly ascertain tenant charges for damages.

In summary, mixing the Property Owner and Resident's personal property is a BAD idea!
