Directions - Google Chrome - Update

Google Chrome usually updates on its own each time it is opened but it sometimes becomes necessary to push the update along or check which version of Chrome is currently being used. (You may also be looking to 'Update Your Laptop')

Step 1

Open Chrome

A. Open Google Chrome any way you want. It can be found in the Apps listed in the Windows Menu on your laptop (listed under G for Google Apps).

Step 2

Select About Google Chrome

A. Select the three dots menu at the top right of the screen.

B. Select 'Help' in the menu that appears.

C. Select 'About Google Chrome' in the menu that appears.

Step 3

About Chrome

A. Chrome will update and display its progress automatically. Once updated it will display its current version.

B. Updates often require you to reload the software for it to complete. You can select the 'Relaunch' button to do that.
