Aristotle is used by teachers to monitor and control student Chromebook screens. The district also uses it to monitor and filter content accessed on devices enrolled in the district. Aristotle is an Extension so you can access it in the Extensions Menu which is the puzzle piece shaped icon located at the top right of your web browser.
Step 1
Open Aristotle using its icon in the Extensions Menu
Open your Google Drive or any Chrome web browser window. The Extensions menu is found at the top right of the screen, next to the star in your URL field. Yours may have different icons showing. The Aristotle icon is a blue square with a white A+ when you are logged into Aristotle. That icon will be partially covered with a red box with an exclamation point if you are not logged in. Select the Aristotle icon to open the software.
Step 2
Log in
A screen may open asking you to log in. Selecting the 'Continue with Google' button would be the simplest and safest way to log in.
Step 3
Automatic Rostering
Aristotle is connected to Skyward so that it imports your classes and rosters the students automatically. Changes, like a new student joining your class, may take a couple days to process and show up in Aristotle.
Step 4
Help Menu
Consider opening the help menu and selecting 'Tutorial'. Select a topic from the tutorial Table of Contents. These quick guides give simple instructions as it highlights the area of the screen you'll need to select.
