Creating a new account on our network not only takes time but it also opens up access to our network and student's private information. For those reasons network accounts are not given without good reason. Common reasons to request a new account be created is when a teacher has a student teacher or will have a long term substitute in their classroom. Be aware your request may not be fulfilled even if it was initially supported by your supervisor.
Step 1
If you are unsure the new user will be given an account you should have a discussion with your supervisor because they may be asked to approve your request.
Step 2
Make sure you have the proper spelling of the new user's name. If an incorrect spelling is submitted the account will have to be recreated.
Step 3
Complete this form. That will send your request to helpdesk@bwsd.k12.wi.us. It may take some time to create an account and you should be notified as requested in the form. You can also check if the account has been created by writing an email to the account. If the name comes up as an option and the email does not come back as unsendable then the account has been created.
