Educator Level 1 is the more basic of the two certification levels. It is focused on mastery of Google's classroom tools. Educator Level 2 is more advanced, focused on how the tools interact to be even more powerful. You must pass the Level 1 exam before you can register for the Level 2 exam.

Google does not require using their online training program but it gives an decent overview of what will be on the exam and provides about three hours of review materials. The website tracks what you have completed, making it easy to skip around. You can use the training materials without signing up for the certification exam.
Step 3

A company called Kryterion provides Google exam codes. Level 1 exams cost $10 and Level 2 exams cost $25. You can email dpaquette@bwsd.k12.wi.us to ask if an exam code is available or to be placed on a list for the next time some are available. You can also purchase an exam code during the registration process in the following step. You may want to talk with your supervisor in advance to see if you can get reimbursed. Exam codes expire in six months without a refund so please do not order the code unless you are sure you plan to use it within that time period.
